This proposal is the result of a research and creation project through observation during cultural mediation workshops for a group of people living with an intellectual disability. They have become my heroes and I want to introduce you to their heroes. The project received a grant from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec as part of the Montérégie Ouest territorial partnership program; thanks to Jacinthe Ducas of Culture Montérégie for her good advice.

A gathering place was offered by the municipality of Saint-Constant. At La Clé des Mots, Céline Brière quickly put me in touch with their artist in residence, Raymonde LeBel. A simple request for books turned into a fabulous involvement through the adaptation of a tale and its theatrical presentation. And to complete the artistic experience of my participants, a partnership with Louise Page from Gueulart, a self-managed artist center, was concluded.

For me, meeting others remains the awakening factor targeted by creation; it is the essential link to make my painting speak.
